If you've ever wanted to dabble in the fascinating world of audio production then the Mac has you covered. Trust me, bundles seem like a huge investment to a new producer but buying one plugin at a time can be $30-200+ each and you’ll be spending a lot more overtime and more limited when you only have 1 or 2 things to use instead of 20 or 30.Which is the better Mac music-production software: GarageBand, or Logic Pro X? Some people would orefer to use sampled instruments but with that being said, Komplete can take up over 200GB of hard drive space where modelled plugins are usually super small since there’s no physcial samples to store.
You can also get something like Arturia V collection which is a huge product for synths, electric pianos, organs etc, but it’s all physical modelling not sampled. Komplete is an all around package, for all instruments, mixing plugins, etc.
Native instruments products can be confusing for beginners though. Look for bundles, you can buy Komplete Select for $259 CAD and then upgrade to Komplete 13 during the summer sales for another $259 which is just a little over $500 CAD for a bundle that normally costs $800. Okay first thing to know is logic only uses AU not VST, every major manufacturer makes AU versions of their plugins but people online will still refer to them as VST sometimes so don’t get confused.
